Welcome to Journey Pediatrics. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and services, including our subscription-based pediatric care model. By accessing our website or enrolling in our practice, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Journey Pediatrics
Journey Pediatrics is a concierge pediatric medical practice providing personalized, relationship-based care to children and families through a membership model. Medical services are provided by licensed clinicians practicing in accordance with the laws and regulations of the State of South Carolina.
Our services are designed to support ongoing pediatric care and coordination. They do not replace emergency medical services.
2. Medical Care & Emergency Disclaimer
Journey Pediatrics provides medical care through licensed healthcare professionals within the scope of their training and licensure.
- Journey Pediatrics does not provide emergency care.
- In the event of a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
- Information on our website is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice unless provided directly by a Journey Pediatrics clinician within the context of an established patient relationship.
3. Membership & Subscription Model
Membership Structure
Journey Pediatrics operates on a subscription-based membership model, billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on your plan).
Membership generally includes:
- Access to concierge pediatric medical services
- Enhanced communication and care coordination
- Services described during enrollment and onboarding
Membership does not include:
- Emergency room or hospital services
- Services not explicitly included in your membership materials
- Services provided by third parties outside Journey Pediatrics
Membership fees are not insurance and do not replace health insurance.
4. Billing & Payments
- Membership fees are billed automatically on a recurring basis.
- Payment is required to maintain active membership.
- Fees may change with advance notice.
- Failure to maintain payment may result in suspension or termination of services.
5. Cancellation & Termination
Cancellation by You
- You may cancel your membership in accordance with the cancellation terms provided at enrollment.
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
- Membership access continues through the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.
Termination by Journey Pediatrics
Journey Pediatrics reserves the right to terminate a membership if:
- Required payments are not made
- There is a breakdown in the clinician–patient relationship
- Continued care would compromise safety, trust, or professional standards
- Behavior toward staff is abusive, threatening, or inappropriate
When possible and appropriate, we will provide advance notice and assist with care transition.
6. Telehealth Consent Addendum (South Carolina)
Consent to Telehealth Services
By enrolling in Journey Pediatrics, you consent to the use of telehealth services, which may include phone calls, video visits, secure messaging, and electronic communications, as permitted under South Carolina law.
Telehealth services:
- May be used for certain clinical interactions, follow-ups, and care coordination
- Are provided at the clinician’s discretion and may not be appropriate for all conditions
- Are not intended for emergencies
Risks & Limitations
You acknowledge that:
- Telehealth has limitations compared to in-person care
- Technical issues (connectivity, device limitations) may affect communication
- In some cases, an in-person visit or referral may be required
Privacy & Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information and comply with applicable privacy laws, including HIPAA. However, electronic communication carries inherent risks, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
By using telehealth services, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
7. Communication & Technology
Journey Pediatrics may communicate with members via:
- Phone
- Email
- Secure messaging platforms
- Online forms and portals
You agree to keep your contact information current and understand that timely communication is essential to care delivery.
8. Privacy & Protected Health Information
We are committed to protecting your privacy.
- Journey Pediatrics complies with applicable federal and South Carolina privacy laws, including HIPAA.
- Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect personal and health information.
9. Website Use & Intellectual Property
You agree to use our website for lawful purposes only.
You may not:
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
- Interfere with website functionality
- Reproduce or distribute content without permission
All website content is the property of Journey Pediatrics unless otherwise noted.
10. No Guarantees
Medicine is not an exact science.
Journey Pediatrics makes no guarantees regarding:
- Medical outcomes
- Diagnoses
- Treatment results
Care decisions are based on clinical judgment, medical evidence, and individual circumstances.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South Carolina law:
- Journey Pediatrics shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services or website.
- Any liability is limited to the amount paid for membership services during the applicable billing period.

We may update these Terms periodically.

- Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of revised Terms
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
