Functional Nutrition for Kids

Your child eats six foods, and one of them just disappeared from the list

You’ve been told to cut gluten, add more protein, or “just get them to eat healthier” but no one explained how to actually do that with a child who gags at anything green, refuses new textures, or has a schedule that is already overflowing.

That’s where we come in. We help families understand the why behind nutrition changes and create realistic, personalized strategies that work within your child’s preferences, your family’s routine, and real life.

Sound familiar

You know what your child needs. You just need help making it work.

Most families arrive here after trying everything... adding more protein, introducing new foods, removing ingredients, and searching for answers. The nutrition advice was never the missing piece. The challenge was knowing which swaps to make, how to introduce changes without creating more stress, and how to build meals your child will actually eat while supporting their health.

Your child’s safe-food list keeps getting shorter, and every new restriction feels like it makes mealtimes harder.

You were handed an elimination diet or a list of foods to avoid, but no one showed you how to actually turn it into meals your child will eat.

You’re making multiple dinners, trying to accommodate everyone, and still wondering if your child is getting what they need.

You have a nutrition protocol you believe in - you just need help translating it into realistic meals, simple swaps, and a plan your child can actually follow.

Nutrition Pathway

Three months with a nutritionist who stays with you

For families who want nutrition to be a meaningful part of their child’s health journey with personalized guidance, practical strategies, and ongoing support to help turn recommendations into changes that actually work at home. Led by Taylor Jenkins, our functional nutritionist.

$750 Three-month nutrition pathway
  • Week 1

    Initial nutrition consultation

A 30-minute session to understand your child’s symptoms, eating patterns, food preferences, challenges, and your family’s goals. Taylor creates a personalized nutrition plan built around your child’s needs identifying barriers and finding realistic solutions from the start.

  • Weeks 1–2

    Building your nutrition foundation

This is where your child’s personalized plan begins to come to life. Taylor helps you identify realistic food swaps, create balanced meal ideas, navigate picky eating challenges, and build a strategy that works for your child’s preferences and your family’s routine.

You’ll leave with practical next steps (not just a list of foods to add or avoid).

  • Months 1–3

    Twice-monthly nutrition sessions

This is where the plan becomes sustainable. Together, you’ll work through what is and isn’t working, expand your child’s food options, troubleshoot challenges, and adjust the approach as your child responds.

Because nutrition changes rarely happen perfectly, you’ll have ongoing support to make adjustments along the way without feeling like you’re starting over.

  • Throughout

    Message Taylor between sessions

Questions come up in real life... at the grocery store, during meal prep, or when your child suddenly refuses a food they used to love. Reach out with questions about food choices, symptoms, or navigating everyday nutrition challenges.

  • Throughout

    Personalized resources for your family

Receive practical nutrition tools, meal ideas, food swap suggestions, and resources designed to make healthy changes easier to implement and easier to maintain long-term.

Taylor Jenkins

Functional Nutritionist

Taylor is the person who takes “he will only eat beige food” seriously. She understands that nutrition doesn’t happen in a perfect kitchen. Nutrition has to fit into busy schedules, picky eaters, family preferences, and the reality of everyday life. She listens first, learns what is actually possible for your family, and works backward from there to create recommendations that can truly be lived out.

With a background in Nutritional Therapy, and a specialization in gut health and nervous system support, Taylor is passionate about looking beyond symptoms to understand the deeper story of what may be contributing to them. She believes the body is always communicating, and her approach is centered around helping families understand those signals and make meaningful, sustainable changes.

What Taylor does best is translate complex health information it into simple, actionable steps: a realistic food swap, a meal idea your child might actually try, or one small change that builds momentum over time.

At Journey, Taylor supports both nutrition care and patient experience, helping families feel seen and supported throughout their child’s health journey. Her belief is simple: families make better decisions when they understand what is happening in the body. The goal is not perfection... it’s education, empowerment, and creating habits that support long-term health.

One care team

Nutrition is not a second practice you have to manage

Alice and Taylor work from the same chart, the same labs, and the same plan. When Alice adjusts a protocol, Taylor knows before your next call. And when Taylor sees something in how your child is eating or reacting, it goes back to Alice. You are not the one carrying information between two offices. That is the whole point of doing it under one roof: food is not adjacent to functional health, it is part of the treatment.

Start with a conversation about your child

Twenty minutes with Taylor. Tell her what is going on, what you have already tried, and what you are hoping changes. She will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
